Day 1, Tuesday |
Depart Orlando to
Dublin |

Day 2, Wednesday |
Dublin Tour,
Kilmainham Jail, National Botanic Gardens, Jameson
Distilley. Arrive at Dublin Airport and
take a bus tour of Dublin. Visit the National
Botanic Gardens then tour Kilmainham Jail and learn the
history of Dublin from 1796 to 1924. Check-in at
the hotel and have a leisurely afternoon. In the evening
enjoy a five course dinner/show at the Old Jameson
Distillery with Irish songs and Ballads. |

Day 3, Thursday |
Prehistoric Tomb
& Belleek. Donegal. Travel north to the Boyne
Valley Visitor Centre and visit Newgrange and the Knowth
passage tomb which are over 5000 years old. Visit
Belleek Pottery Factory where skilled craft people
create world-famous fine china. Check-in at the hotel
near Donegal and enjoy a welcome drink before dinner.
Later explore the town and local pubs. |

Day 4, Friday |
Donegal & Slieve Cliffs. Drive to
Teelin to view Slieve League sea cliffs where the
tallest point reaches 1,972 feet making them the highest
in Europe. Continue through the majestic Glengish Pass
to Ardara to learn about the art of making Donegal
tweed. Enjoy freshly baked scones with tea at a
farm house. In the evening visit the pubs in
Donegal. |

Day 5, Saturday |
W.B. Yeats Grave
& Ballintubber Abbey. We Travel south around
Donegal Bay and view the grave of poet W.B. Yeats.
Travel through County Silgo and on into County Mayo to
visit Knock Shrine which is one of the world's leading
shrines where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared
to 15 people on August 21, 1879.
After checking into the hotel we can explore the city on
our own. Later we drive to Galway Bay to Dunquaire
Castle, a beautifully restored 15th century castle.
We will have a sumptuous meal followed by entertainment
featuring Ireland's literary heritage, music, and songs. |

Day 6, Sunday |
The Quiet Man &
Connemara. We travel north to Cong - the
setting for the 1952 classic movie "The Quiet Man"
starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. We visit
the Connemara Celtic Crystal Factory which specializes
in designs based on the shamrock, Claddagh ring and
harp. |
| Day 7,
Monday |
Cliffs of Moher &
Killarney. We drive south to view the majestic
Cliffs of Moher, a rocky wall that rises nearly 700 feet
above the Atlantic Ocean. Take a short ferry ride
across the River Shannon Estuary to the mountainous
countryside of Kerry. This evening enjoy dinner
and entertainment at Kate Kearney's cottage for a pub
dinner and music. |
| Day 8,
Tuesday |
Muckross House &
Ring of Kerry. We Visit the Muckross House, a
19th century furnished mansion, and take a walk through
the gardens. Enjoy the Ring of Kerry where every
bend in 100 miles of road reveals breathtaking views of
mountains and Atlantic Ocean. Dinner and overnight
in Killarney. Visit pubs at night. |
| Day 9,
Wednesday |
Blarney Castle &
Irish National Stud. Leave Killarney and drive
to Blarney Castle to kiss the famous stone. Pause
at the Rock of Cashel for photos then on to Kildare, the
center for horse breeding. Learn the history and current
trends of horse breeding. Then take a walk around
the Japanese Gardens which were established in 1906.
Also see the charming St. Fiachra's Garden with water
features and beehive huts. Farewell dinner and
overnight at Dunboyne Castle Hotel in Dunboyne. |
| Day 10,
Thursday |
All too soon our vacation
in Ireland is over. Transfer to Dublin Airport for
our flight home. |
