Many farmers and gardeners have followed the tradition of planting by the moon. The position of the moon in the zodiac is used to calculate the best planting dates.

Above ground crops: March 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 27, 28.
Below ground crops: March 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 31.
